£100m
invested inhealth estate
Working in partnership with Department of Health company Community Health Partnerships (CHP), we have jointly invested more than £100 million to support the transformation of the health and wellbeing estate in Hull.
15 years ago, more than 75% of GPs operated from substandard facilities. Following a thorough procurement process, Sewell were chosen to partner with the NHS and formed the public private partnership (PPP) vehicle Hull Citycare Ltd.
The investment programme delivered through Citycare relocated GP practices and hundreds of community services into twelve modern, purpose-built health centres. The landmark buildings ensure services are accessible and encourage efficiencies across the public sector through co-location. As well as looking after the buildings for the next 25 years, Citycare works with other public sector partners to deliver estates solutions. Shared Agenda, another PPP, was born out of Citycare and works nationally to deliver estates solutions across the public sector.
